Paul’s passion for food and entertaining was born in his prior residence of Toronto where he pursued a career as a personal chef and worked within his own catering business. After
attending the George Brown Culinary Program, and working through the myriad of established restaurants in the city, Paul decided to go into business with his wife Cary by officially launching The Grinning Gourmand. Both being natives of Burlington, it was a dream of the couple to come back and open up a gourmet food shop and catering business together. Banking on Paul’s training in culinary and Cary’s expertise in nutrition, GGs philosophy is about good, honest food in an inspiring and tantalizing way.  For customers looking for something new and fresh, it was
their wish to make GGs the place to be.

Beyond the market concept, catering began to flourish for the Grinning Gourmand and the  business has catered to a varied clientele both large and small while always keeping the focus on the client and their needs. The Grinning Gourmand has been recognized as a catering company that offers that personalized touch: One-on-one menu planning meetings is always encouraged, as is the client’s suggestions on helping conceptualize the food options.
